I've recently been watching a web series on the YouTubes called Bravest Warriors and have been gravitated towards the artwork of the show. I've been gravitated to the point to find out who's responsible for these characters and give them a shout out! my journey started with of course Google (Do you think God uses Google? Just a thought.) Through digging and researching I found out who's the guy behind the art of this amazing show Bravest Warriors. I'll give you a hint who it is.
1. His name is in the blog title
2. It's not 003_, In or like...
If you haven't guessed, then go find your first grade teacher and give them a swift kick in the knee cap for not teaching you jack. The artist I'm talking about is Bob Flynn. <--- has one of the coolest last names ever!
Bob Flynn is an artist who has a very impressive stack of companies he's worked on projects for. One of them being BOOM! Studios. I have a personal love affair with BOOM! Studios because they put out a few series of comics a couple of years ago, Soldier Zero, Starborn, and the Traveler. All these were created by the great Stan Lee himself and all were interconnected at some point. It was a perfect run of comics if I say so myself.
The list doesn't stop at BOOM! Studios though. He's worked for Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon Magazine, Frederator Studios and more.
What drives me to Bob Flynn besides his awesome Tron of a last time is the way each character has their own personality. As an animator, I sometimes find it hard to give my characters a unique personality. But Bob Flynn's character's, even without dialogue, has personality. Through a simple design in his characters, I feel like he's paved the way for any other artist out there. What drives a character is not how detailed you can make it, but how can you relate to the character. Bob Flynn makes his characters relateable and I think that's what makes his art and his designs so amazing!
Thanks for reading this post during your fap break!
Until the next one!
